Work Experience

Since 2013 I have worked for DHL/Exel Logistics as an associate. I started as a forklift operator doing casepicking at the 3M warehouse in Mechanicsburg, PA.

In March 2014, I received my certification for sit down forklift, and shortly afterwards received a certification for Reach Truck. In the summer of 2014 I participated in my first site support (labor share) opportunity. For 90 days I lived and worked in Rock Hill, South Carolina. During that time I trained numerous associates how to unload, receive, put-away, pick, and load freight in a start up operation (Energizer).

After returning, I took other opportunities to labor share to other operations and eventually participated in the Associate Enrichment Program in 2015, to learn more about daily operation and learn some managerial level skills.

The calendar year 2016 was a very exciting year. I began by traveling to Iams in Leipsic, Ohio, and returned to a Group Coordinator position at an overflow facility for the Mondelez client. The Mondelez overflow building was open from February until closure in August. Afterwards, I labor shared at other operations, and accepted an opportunity to work in a Forklift Trainer role at the Federal Mogul site in York, PA in early 2017. Future goals include continuing education and working in other roles within the logistics industry.

During the course of about 3 years, I have had the opportunity to support operations in 10 warehouse facilities

Previous Employment

Before working at DHL, I held various part-time and full time jobs mostly while I took various college courses. Between August 2011 and August 2013, I lived in Norfolk, Virginia where I attended graduate school at Old Dominion University.

Some of the jobs that I held during my time in Virginia included working at a technology repair company, CTDI, working at Jiffy Lube, and work at a flooring distributor as a sales personnel.

Prior to my move to Virginia I was employed by Woodstream Corp. for a year in their Mechanicsburg, PA warehouse as an MHE operator.
